Leaning Into Something Changes More Than You Think

Part of the Goddess Awakening and Moments of Softness collections

Lean your back against something solid and let your weight rest there.

A wall, a chair, the side of a doorframe—anything that can hold you without shifting. Don’t hover just in front of it. Actually make contact and let yourself be supported.

Stay there.

At first you might still be holding some of your weight, almost out of habit. Your body is used to keeping itself upright, even when there’s something there to lean into.

Let that go gradually.

Allow more of your weight to drop back. Your shoulders can soften. Your spine doesn’t need to work in the same way. You might feel a small release as your body realises it doesn’t have to hold everything on its own.

That’s the shift.

Most of the day is spent keeping yourself balanced and lifted. Even when you sit, there’s often a slight tension in how you hold yourself.

When you lean properly, that changes.

You’re giving some of that work away.

If you stay there for a few seconds longer, the support becomes more noticeable. Your breathing settles. Your body feels heavier, but in a way that’s easier, not harder.

You don’t need to do anything else.

Just let yourself be held by something outside of you for a moment.

You don’t have to carry it all.

To stay with this month’s rose more deeply, the July 2026 – The Vital Rose Workbook is waiting for you here – a quiet companion of prompts, rituals, and reflective practices to help you soften into the theme at your own pace.
