Part of the Sacred Touch collection

Place both hands over your chest or your stomach and let them rest there.

Don’t rush into the breath straight away. Just feel the weight of your hands first. The contact is usually enough to bring your attention back into your body without needing to do anything else.

Then let your next breath come in a little slower.

You might feel the movement under your hands more clearly than usual. Your chest rises, or your stomach shifts, and your hands follow it without effort. There’s nothing to correct, nothing to deepen on purpose. Just let it happen.

Stay there for a few breaths.

At first it can feel like very little is changing. Then the body starts to respond in small ways. Your shoulders drop slightly. The area under your hands softens. Your breathing settles into a rhythm that feels less forced.

That’s the part that’s easy to overlook.

Most forms of care are tied to doing something. Fixing, improving, working on yourself in some way. Your body gets used to that pattern, even when it’s meant to be relaxing.

This is different.

Nothing is being asked of you here. You’re not trying to get anywhere. You’re just letting your body respond to something simple and steady.

Keep your hands where they are for a moment longer than feels necessary.

Let the contact stay uncomplicated.

Care can be this simple.

To stay with this month’s rose more deeply, the July 2026 – The Vital Rose Workbook is waiting for you here – a quiet companion of prompts, rituals, and reflective practices to help you soften into the theme at your own pace.
