Part of the Sacred Touch collection

Bring your attention to your face and notice what it’s doing.

The jaw, the forehead, the space around your eyes—there’s often more tension there than you realise. You don’t need to search for it. It shows up as soon as you pause.

Let it soften slightly.

Not completely, just enough that you can feel the difference between holding and letting go. Your jaw loosens a fraction. Your forehead smooths out a little. The muscles around your eyes stop working quite so hard.

Then let your hand rest lightly at your neck or along your collarbone.

Keep it there without adjusting anything else. The contact is enough to keep your attention from drifting. Your breathing settles on its own. Your shoulders might drop slightly as the tension in your face releases.

That’s where gentleness starts to come back.

It doesn’t arrive all at once. It’s something your body recognises in small shifts like this. The difference between pushing through and easing off, even slightly.

Most of the time, the way you hold yourself is just habit. It builds up over the day without being questioned.

When you pause like this, you interrupt that pattern.

You don’t need to get it exactly right.

Just let things soften a little more than they were a minute ago.

You can begin again here.

To stay with this month’s rose more deeply, the August 2026 – The Wild Rose Workbook is waiting for you here – a quiet companion of prompts, rituals, and reflective practices to help you soften into the theme at your own pace.
