Part of the Sacred Touch collection
Sit or lie down and place one hand on your stomach.
Let it rest there without adjusting your breathing straight away. Feel the movement under your hand as it is now. It might be shallow, or uneven, or barely noticeable at first.
Stay with it.
After a few moments, your breathing usually begins to change on its own. The inhale deepens slightly. The exhale takes a bit longer. Your hand rises and falls more clearly without you needing to guide it.
There’s nothing to fix.
You’re just giving your body a few minutes where it isn’t being rushed or directed.
That’s what makes the difference.
Most of the time, even when you try to rest, there’s still an underlying push to move on to the next thing. Your attention stays slightly ahead of you.
When you stop like this, without adding anything else, that pressure drops.
Your body settles into a slower rhythm. Your focus steadies because it has somewhere to stay. You feel more present, even if nothing around you has changed.
It doesn’t take long.
Just a few minutes where you’re actually there.
Let that be enough.
To stay with this month’s rose more deeply, the September 2026 – The Fading Rose Workbook is waiting for you here – a quiet companion of prompts, rituals, and reflective practices to help you soften into the theme at your own pace.
