Part of the Goddess Awakening and Moments of Softness collections
Sit somewhere that feels neutral or soft and let yourself stay there for a moment.
You don’t need to prepare it or change anything about it. Just notice how it feels to be in a space that isn’t pulling your attention in different directions.
At first, you might still feel a slight urge to do something. To check something, respond to something, move on to the next thing.
Stay anyway.
After a few seconds, the difference becomes clearer. Your body doesn’t feel quite as engaged. There’s less of a sense that you need to react or adjust yourself to what’s around you.
That’s what changes.
Some spaces carry a kind of pressure. They’re tied to tasks, expectations, things that need to be handled. Your body recognises that immediately, even if you’re not consciously thinking about it.
When you’re in a space that doesn’t ask anything from you, that pressure drops.
You don’t have to stay alert in the same way. You don’t have to hold yourself quite as tightly. Your breathing settles, your shoulders ease, your attention becomes less fixed.
You don’t need to do anything with it.
Just stay there for a moment longer than you normally would.
Let the space be easy, and let your body respond to that.
That’s enough.
To stay with this month’s rose more deeply, the October 2026 – The Shadow Rose Workbook is waiting for you here – a quiet companion of prompts, rituals, and reflective practices to help you soften into the theme at your own pace.
